Micic to return to Philadelphia

Defending EuroLeague champion Vasilije Micic could return to the Philadelphia 76ers

The Sixers traded Micic's rights to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for cash considerations in 2014, but he could be on the move again

Micic, 26, is coming off a stellar season with Serbian club Anadolu Efes, where he helped the team win the EuroLeague title for the second consecutive year. He averaged 14.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game in the EuroLeague during the regular season and was named the league's MVP.

The Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly expressed interest in bringing Micic back to the NBA, and the Serbian guard is said to be open to a return. Micic has never played in the NBA, but he is a proven winner at the international level and would be a valuable addition to the Sixers' backcourt.

If Micic does return to Philadelphia, he would be reunited with his former coach from Anadolu Efes, Zeljko Obradovic. Obradovic is now an assistant coach with the Sixers, and he would likely play a key role in Micic's development.

The Sixers are coming off a disappointing season in which they were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by the Miami Heat. They are hoping to make a deeper run in the playoffs next season, and Micic could be a key piece of that puzzle.
